The 2022 SAPPO AGM + EXPO certainly delivered a kaleidoscope of experiences. The EXPO, which was strategically designed to maximise the industry’s opportunity to network while celebrating the industry’s collective story, featured over 20 exhibitors. Delegates were invited to watch video sessions on key industry stakeholders and encouraged to discuss the values and resilience of the industry.
In the afternoon, motivational speaker Caroline Ravenall inspired us to act courageously in times of change by sharing her story. Thereafter, evening drinks were enjoyed as a prelude to the gala dinner.
On Thursday, a thought-provoking panel discussion on the importance of sharing our story featured a diverse panel from organised agriculture and financing, to creative inspirationalists, and the farmer’s perspective. The panel discussion was expertly facilitated by Wandile Sihlobo, chief economist at Agbiz.
The event ended with a final session of exhibiting and lunch.
