SAPPO radio campaign could reach 13.3 million people

SAPPO’s radio consumer campaign to reassure consumers that pork is safe to consume, delicious, affordable and value for money, will potentially reach 13.3 million listeners in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State, says Marieta Human, SAPPO’s marketing manager.

The campaign kicked off on Umhlobo Wenene, which broadcasts in Xhosa. As from Wednesday next week the radio stations Ukhozi and Lesedi, which broadcast in Zulu and South Sotho, will also be added.

The frequency of 14.9 means that the listeners to these stations can possibly hear the ads 14.9 times, although it is highly likely that they will hear it not less than 4 times.

The South African Pork Producers’ Organisation (SAPPO) coordinates industry interventions and collaboratively manages risks in the value chain to enable the sustainability and profitability of pork producers in South Africa.
