Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, has released new research which reveals that eating meat is actually better for the environment than going completely vegetarian.
Speaking to Eusebius McKaiser of Radio702, Dr Martin Bloem says fighting the climate crisis by avoiding meat may ignore the needs of poorer countries.
A vegan diet is very interesting because of many people in the world, if you are poor you are actually a vegan. You eat a plant-based diet but that is not based on a choice, it is because of poverty.
