Media24 has taken the lead in South Africa a few years ago to nurture and grow pride in our country. Every year, from August to end of October, a digital heritage campaign is implemented to celebrate everything that is great about SA’s rich and varied cultural heritage.

An example of this was the highly acclaimed 2019 national anthem campaign, seen on TV and on other media platforms.   This year, the campaign will once again rest on five pillars: Made in SA, Explore, Vuvuzela, Homegrown heroes, and Lekker (food). As exclusive food sponsor South African Pork will play a major role in the Lekker (food) pillar.

The five pillars will focus on the following: Made in SA (celebrating South African design and locally made products), Explore (what, where, when and why we love it), Vuvuzela (all the latest proudly South Africa news, inventions and developments), Homegrown heroes (South African icons at home and abroad) and Lekker (local is lekker, our favourite pork dishes and more.)

The Lekker food content pillar will showcase exciting and delicious pork recipes, including new videos. These will be designed to be share-able and easy to follow – showcasing the best South African pork cuts and lekker homegrown flavours.

The South African Pork Producers’ Organisation (SAPPO) coordinates industry interventions and collaboratively manages risks in the value chain to enable the sustainability and profitability of pork producers in South Africa.
