Rika Verwey joined SAPPO’s Business Intelligence division this week. She grew up in Boksburg and studied Econometrics at the University of Pretoria.
She taught Econometrics and Economics at the Tshwane University of Technology, before joining Conningarth Economists as an economic consultant.
For the past 12 years, she has worked as a senior economist at the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC).
Rika is married to Wikus and they have a son and a daughter.
The South African Pork Producers’ Organisation (SAPPO) coordinates industry interventions and collaboratively manages risks in the value chain to enable the sustainability and profitability of pork producers in South Africa.
