SAPPO’s first ever recipe book will be released in November this year.
The book is a collaboration between Johane Neilson, the food editor of Tuis I Home and SAPPO’s, marketing manager, Marieta Human.
“From the hundreds of delicious and popular pork recipes that appeared in the print and digital versions of Tuis I Home over the last few years, a variety of practical, yet inspirational recipes was chosen to be incorporated in the book. We also developed and photographed some new, easy recipes to incorporate the concept of nose-to-tail eating,” says Marieta.
“We therefore included every part of the carcass in the recipe selection. All recipes are tried and tested.”
The South African Pork Producers’ Organisation (SAPPO) coordinates industry interventions and collaboratively manages risks in the value chain to enable the sustainability and profitability of pork producers in South Africa.
