As we celebrate Heritage Month in September, our team is excited to launch the SA Pork spring campaign, which beautifully blends the essence of spring with our rich heritage. This month, we are sharing pork facts and a variety of editorial recipes and shining a spotlight on the heritage of our farming community through the SAPPO Selekt Season 1 series of short videos.
We see a fantastic opportunity to connect with a new audience that may not yet know about our farmers’ dedication and passion for the land, environment, birdlife, and sustainability. This heritage-focused campaign aims to educate consumers about different pork cuts, especially those perfect for braaing and frying, with tips and tricks to help prepare pork to perfection for the braai. We aim to guide consumers on which pork cuts to buy and how to prepare them for the most delicious results on an open fire.
This campaign marks the beginning of an ongoing educational series, where we will introduce consumers to all the pork cuts ideal for the summer months. To support this effort, we have developed a comprehensive library that will soon be available for butcheries, media, and retailers. This initial library features over 36 pork cuts, each with four high-quality images, allowing anyone who wishes to promote pork to showcase its quality effectively.
The campaign will be promoted through various print media outlets, their digital platforms, and our own channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. In our next newsletter, we’ll provide feedback on the campaign’s performance, creative images, and results.
