The teams from SA Pork and Gazebo Academy have been out and about filming some more stories from the pork industry. The most recent visit was to Tau Leolo in Zebediela, Limpopo.
The footage will be packaged in the form of a digital magazine where consumers can engage in a digital experience with the farmer and his/her featured story. In addition, short films will be produced and distributed locally to various media companies, as well as globally to various pig producer organisations.
SAPPO SELEKT will launching at the SAPPO AGM + EXPO on 7 and 8 September 2022. This initiative was born out of the need to close the gap between farmers and consumers. Research has shown that many consumers still don’t know exactly where their food comes from and have an inaccurate perception about the people that produce it. The two main focus areas of the initiative include communicating today’s world of agriculture to consumer and introducing farmers and what they care about to consumers.
